QP-AMP58I500 series are 5.8 GHz version of QPCOM's amplifiers for 802.11a wireless LANs. They are compatible with IEEE 802.11a OFDM radios as well as radios using Direct Sequence or Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum modulation.
The QP-AMP58I500 is a fixed gain amplifier with up to 500 mW or +27 dBm of output power. The gain is fixed at the factory at +10 dB. The receive gain compensates for cable losses and actually increases the receive sensitivity of most wireless LAN radios. This feature permits long cable runs with no degradation in operating range.
The QP-AMP58I500 5.8 GHz amplifier series features an all-metal weather-proof enclosure of die cast aluminum, making it suitable for demanding industrial and military applications.
The QP-AMP58I500 is designed for indoor installations or in weatherproof enclosures. Four mounting holes are provided on the amplifier. The indoor series amplifiers include a power supply.
Power Supply
The power supply included with the amplifier is rated at 100-240 VAC @ 50/60 Hz allowing it to be used in the US as well as in the EU when used with the optional PSX-EU2 Plug converter (US NEMA 6-15R Flat Blades to EU 4/4.8 mm round pins). See Accessories Below for PSX-EU2 Plug Converter.

Note:
This QPCOM bi-directional amplifier is designed for burst half-duplex operation. It is not intended for constant transmit or CW operation. Operation of the amplifier in CW mode will damage the amplifier and void the warranty. |
